Internally, we thought this was just going to be a fun add-on to the Hero 4.0 line, but it became a highly anticipated product within the lacrosse community. "Big Diamond" mesh is back with the release of Hero 4.0 7D.
While the industry has leaned heavily toward 10-diamond mesh in recent years, the 7D is a throwback to a unique feel that many players have been missing. Here is everything you need to know about the latest addition to the Hero 4.0 line.
Why 7 Diamond?
The transition back to larger diamonds wasn't accidental. We experimented with 6, 8, and 9-diamond configurations before landing on 7. We found that 7 diamond mesh provided the perfect blend of performance and differentiation from standard 10-diamond offerings.
Hero 4.0 7D utilizes the same advanced tech that has helped make Hero 4.0 the most popular mesh in lacrosse:
- Tri-Fiber Core: Three different materials twisted together for maximum texture and durability.
- Resistance to Bagging: Less bagging to provide a more consistent playing experience.
- Consistency: Specialized coating to provide more weather resistance and consistency over time.
Performance Benefits: Feel, Hold, and Grip
