Very nice stuff, out of the box it’s a bit stiffer than the semi soft mesh, but not as stiff as the semi hard. Great hold, works very well in a wider head.

The 7D in my mirage looks and plays amazing, first time using bigger diamonds and love it.

Great Mesh has that nice old school feel with new technology. Only think I’d change is I’d add a new category because the mesh isn’t soft or hard it’s in the middle.

Review: ECD 7 Diamond Mesh on a Maverik Kimera

After stringing and playing with the new ECD 7 Diamond Mesh on my Maverik Kimera, a few things became clear right away.

Stringing

The 7D mesh is easy to work with, holds its shape, and tensions cleanly. It naturally creates a lot of whip, so stringers should plan their pattern, shooters, and channel with that in mind.

Performance

On the field, the larger diamonds form a deeper, more responsive pocket with more hold and ball feel. Passing and shooting have strong snap, and the mesh stays consistent even in Seattle rain and snow. If you’re not used to extra whip, it can take some adjustment.

Durability

After several practices and games, the mesh still shows out. No bagging, no stretching — just a solid, reliable pocket.

Verdict

It’s a naturally whippy setup, and I’m loving it. My son keeps stealing it, and everyone who picks it up wants to try it.
